"To build a home that draws people to Jesus"

Who?

We are a bunch of ordinary individuals with a genuine desire to build a home - a home of second chances, a home full of hope and unconditional love, a home that believes in people. We know some may have never experienced a healthy home; now is your chance. We love together, we cry together, we celebrate, we honour, we are real, we dream big, we have stories - we are A Church Called Home.

What?

We are a Sydney based church with a vision to build a home that draws people to Jesus. We do this through the running of a weekly Sunday service. We also have various mid-week Home Groups which provide an avenue for people to connect, learn and do something practically. More recently we've started working together with the local community to run programs such as One Direction Fitness boot camps and a social impact initiative through a clothes swap event called Shopping for Freedom.

When?

We meet every Sunday in Moorebank Community Centre. We begin at 6pm with some time to meet people, grab a drink and socialise in The Loungeroom followed by the Service which begins at 630pm with live music and a keynote speaker. We also have The Dining Room, our cafe that opens after the service. There is currently no kids program available.

How?

With every home there comes an opportunity to play a part in the bigger picture. A few practical ways to be involved include - ATTEND one of our Sunday services, GIVE online or at any of our services, JOIN A TEAM and JOIN A HOME GROUP (more info further down).

Home Groups - With Great Company Comes Great Moments

Home Groups are practical way to get involved at A Church Called Home. They exist to help people find supportive friendships and to connect with other people. There's a range of Home Groups running that you can choose to be a part of, whether you want to get more out of the bible, get involved in a social impact initiative or simply get to know more people. There are four groups running this season on an 8 week cycle. Have a read of the short description, find the group that is best for you and sign up either at our Sunday service or online!

Aimee Buffa - Wednesday Night at 7pm. This Home Group is for any girl who is looking to become part of a sisterhood.
Zoe Eagles - Thursday Night at 730pm. The focus of the 8 weeks will be to engage with the bible and start to think more about how the word of God impacts on our life.
Cristina and Hugo Buffa - Thursday Night at 730pm. The Alpha Course will only run for 7 weeks and is for anyone whose wanting to explore a little more of the BIG questions in life.
Daniel Barraza - Saturday Morning at 10am. Meet at Cafe Clemente in Fairfield. This group is for any guy - we will do a short devotion while enjoying a coffee and some brunch

One Direction Fitness - Don't Just Workout Your Salvation

Over the last few Saturday mornings we have been running Fitness Boot Camps at Schell Park in Liverpool. Inspired by the 'Do Something' series, Paul Golbach wanted to find a way to incorporate fun, fitness and fellowship into a program that would be accessible to those involved at A Church Called Home. From this simple desire One Direction Fitness was born!

For the moment, Paul is running the program on Saturday mornings at 7am in Schell Park for only $10. He hopes to extend the program over a few other days, as well as expand it's diversity in the coming months. At a session you can expect fun, simple to intense exercise workouts, great people to work out together with and feeling a whole lot healthier by the end! Currently the Fitness Boot Camp is open to anyone at A Church Called Home and friends, however if you're keen to come along you can email Paul for more information.
